We never thought we would build a hotel. The idea was to have a home away from the hustle-bustle of the city, somewhere close to nature but still easily accessible. Tapovan was the perfect place - we fell in love the first time we dipped our feet in the Ganga on the banks adjacent to the magnificent Laxman Jhula. § The design was to be classically European, reminiscent of the red brick houses that dot the English and French country side. Over time we felt like sharing our experience with others who, like us, were seeking rejuvenation and inspiration - a respite from everyday life. § Our travels around the world have given us an understanding of what we feel hotels should be. Terrakotta is our attempt to share this with you. We hope you like it.
